Pet Sitting

Picture

Pet sitting services are for the care of your pet in your home. This is mostly for when you are away, but can sometimes be when you are at work if your pet needs attention during the day. Services that fall under pet sitting include feeding, replacing water, cleaning of bowls, cleaning of litter box, cleaning of “accidents”, playtime, brushing and nail trim, letting dog out/in and administering of medications. Dog walking can also be added on. Other things I’m happy to do while in the house is: taking in mail/newspaper, watering potted plants, opening and closing curtains, and adjusting lights. Anything else you can think of just ask!

Part of the service is getting in touch to let you know how things are going, including pictures of your pet.

Pet sitting appointments are typically 20-30 minutes for one pet dependent on their needs.

Dog Walking

There are all kinds of reasons to hire a dog walker. Whether it’s to give you a break during your work day, if your morning routine is just too hectic, if an injury means you can’t give them the long walks they desire, or any other reason. Dog walks are done individually or with your dogs only. These are not group walks. This is to ensure your dog is safe and has my full attention at all times.

I offer several options for dog walks:

15 minute potty relief
This service is good for dogs that don’t really need the exercise (maybe they are older, sick or just low energy) but need to get outside to relieve themselves.

30 minute local walk
Standard walk around the neighborhood for exercise and potty. Good for dogs who are moderately active.

Doggy outings 60+ minutes
Great for active dogs! I will pick your dog up at home and either walk them to or drive to a great exercise area. Some of my favorites are Trelissick Park, Lyall Bay beach, Tahiti beach, Willowbank Reserve and Mt Kau Kau. I will usually let dogs off the lead (with your permission) for these outings but only if I know they don’t wander too far and will allow me to put them back on at the end. These are typically solo walks (unless you have multiple dogs you want walked together) but could be up to two walked together. If this was an option for your dog, I would first discuss with you.

On dog outings I bring my dog walking bag with me. This includes:
  • Bowl and fresh water
  • Treats (if allowed)
  • Toys
  • Clean up bags
  • 1st aid kit
  • Towel (for muddy paws before putting them back in your house)
  • Always have my phone for pictures or to get in touch with you if needed
